Smartek Payment Portal

The Challenge

Smartek Systems is a New Jersey-based low voltage and security company. They manage a high volume of customer invoices using FieldPulse as their field service and invoicing platform, and process payments through Sola (Fidelity) Payments.

Smartek had two distinct pain points:

  1. Reconciliation was entirely manual. There was no automated sync between FieldPulse (where invoices lived) and Sola (where payments were processed). Staff had to manually cross-reference systems, which was time-consuming and error-prone.
  2. The default Sola payment link was bare and generic. Customers receiving it had to manually enter invoice numbers and amounts — leading to friction, errors, and a poor brand experience.

The Solution

We built a fully branded, custom payment portal that:

  • Pulls invoice data directly from FieldPulse via API — customer name, job location, service address, amount paid, and amount due are all pre-populated automatically
  • Presents a sleek, Smartek-branded checkout UI — dark tech aesthetic matching their brand, with no manual data entry required from the customer
  • Gives customers a clear choice: pay the amount due or pay the remaining balance
  • Processes payment securely through Sola iFields (tokenized card entry)
  • Automatically syncs payment records back, eliminating the manual reconciliation step entirely
  • Footer reads "Powered by Stronger eCommerce"

Results

  • Significant time freed up by eliminating manual reconciliation between systems
  • Customer-facing payment experience is now professional, branded, and frictionless
  • Client feedback was extremely positive — they were thrilled with the result
